My little blog world, I'd like to introduce this beautiful little lady:
Audrey was born on Sunday, May 26th, at 8:45am, weighing 6 lbs and 10 oz. Everyone is doing great and Rena is slowly adjusting to having a baby sister!
I came to realize all of Ryan and I's brothers now have 2 kids - we're so lucky to have 5 beautiful nieces and a nephew! I'm lucky enough to see Audrey and Rena again tomorrow since I'll be in Maryland for a work meeting. :) :)

Tired.
I don't know about you, but I'm tired.
I'm tired of turning on the news and seeing devastation after devastation. Crazy people living and innocent people dying.
Seeing what this tornado did in Oklahoma is just so hard to watch; especially knowing it hit an elementary school and so many kids had their life swept away before they could experience so much of the good in this world.
Since Ryan and I lived in Kansas City, we got to experience first hand how scary even a tornado siren can be, much less a tornado.
I'm sick of all of these crazy things happening lately - Sandy Hook, the Boston Marathon bombing, innocent lives still being lost in Afghanistan, and even locally, a state trooper randomly being shot just by doing his job.
When I was young, I never understood why my mom was so psycho about telling me to always lock the doors, never walk anywhere alone, always having to call when I got to where I was going, etc. Now that I'm older and know that I'll someday have kids of my own, I understand where she was coming from.
As far as I see it, when it comes to good vs. evil, good always wins. It's like what Fred Rogers said, "When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, 'Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.'" Except I'm not a boy.
With this tornado, though, it's good vs. evil in a different way. It's not like anyone could stop this tornado, and it's not anything to this scale could be predicted.
I guess what I'm trying to say is.....I just wish we didn't have to try to fight evil so much.

Crafty Sunday
I'm not as obsessed with Pinterest as I used to be, but occasionally I come across some really cute ideas. For me, the simpler, the better. Since Memorial Day & 4th of July is fastly approaching, I found some cute ideas on some "I love 'Murrica" wreaths. :)
I started with this:
And ended up with this:
I've always liked the look of yarn wreaths, and I think it turned out nice! It looks cute hanging on the front door, and I don't know if anyone will appreciate the hour it took to cut lots of little stars like I will. :)
The best thing about it - only cost me $15 to make the whole thing! Woot!

Bathroom Fix Up!
Do you remember when I posted a little long while ago about the bathroom cabinets I was re-doing? You know, these ugly things:
Well, I finally did another coat of stain on the baseboards and it's complete! I'm still deciding if I should put some silver knobs on them or just leave it be...what do ya'll think?
I need to do another coat on the drawers because they're looking a little lighter, but I'm happy how they turned out! Way more updated!
I'm still working on convincing Ryan to change out some of the light fixtures in our house. If I could only update some of our light fixture and change things in the master bathroom (fix the tile around the bathtub, paint over the boring blue, and change out the mirrors) then I would be so content! :)
