I don't feel like explaining what's been going on in our lives lately because honestly I can barely remember what I did yesterday. I just know that we've been busy, Paige is a married woman, I have the cutest niece and goddaughter in the world, and we unfortunately lost Ryan's Grandma from a heart attack.
Ryan's Grandma Marks had a heart attack Friday and they unfortunately weren't able to bring her back to life at the hospital. I had the chance to get to know Grandma Marks better when we were back in TN for a bit. I wish I had more time with her, but I can say that she raised great sons, had a genuine heart, and was SO proud of Ryan's work overseas. Her service was on Tuesday and we weren't able to make it because of the drive to TN being such a long drive and it being our anniversary. We were thinking of our family in TN all day and wish peace for everyone who knew her. We love you, Grandma Marks!
On a brighter note, here are a few pictures for ya:
Because our loft is all inclusive, we like to turn the air down to 69 or 70 at night and snuggle up in our warm comforter knowing we won't see an electric bill. (When I say snuggle, I mean snuggle with Zoe because we all know Ryan and I don't touch in bed). I forgot to turn it back up in the morning, so when I came home from work I found Zoe like this. Oops.
Chris, Emily & Rena came into town one weekend, and we got to spend a little time with them. Rena was not in the mood for a picture :) Love her!
The beautiful Bachelorette sporting her 'stache.
The only pic I took on Paige's wedding day!! Getting her make up done!
Flash mob at Ryan's company picnic!! SO COOL! Ryan had to hold me back from joining them.
The front page of the Richmond Times Dispatch the day before we started house hunting. How convenient.
My beautiful Goddaughter, Riley. I babysat and she's obsessed with her belly button right now :) LOVE!
She's going to break a lot of boy's hearts when she's older.
Elliot suckered me into giving her a cupcake before dinner. Don't tell mommy :)
Chunk chunk
I tried to save some of the cotton candy balls from the bouquet Ryan made for our anniversary. Apparently this is what happens to them when you put them in an air tight container.
And that's about all I have for you, folks. Ryan and I celebrated our blissful 2 years of marriage together at Bookbinder's last night. I asked him what he wants most for our 3rd year of marriage and his response was "to get an awesome job and get deployed again". Mine was "buy a house and start popping out babies". So glad we're on the same page. ;) Food was AWESOME, service was okay. We had fun, and I find myself everyday thinking how lucky I was to find such a good catch. Love you, darlin!
