Update through Pictures

So, I know it's been forever since I've updated this thing.  It is partly because I've been busy, partly lazy, and partly I fell so far behind I didn't know where to begin again.

But first of all, can I just say how happy I am that, being almost 30 years old, I've FINALLY found a face cleaner that works for me?  Can I get an Amen?

Yup, Cetaphil.  I think I first heard about Cetaphil when a pubescent elementary school classmate told me about it.   The thought never crossed my mind that I should try this out and see why so many billions of people use this stuff.  The other secret to my success?

I found a bottle of this stuff in my "junk" basket from when a friend who worked for Clinique gave a bunch of free samples over a girls weekend.  Figuring I had nothing to use, I started using it with Cetaphil and my skin stopped flaking and being all extra-dry on me almost immediately.

Oh yeah, and you can't forget this:

I love all $5.44 of this baby.


Now that I'm actually thinking about it, I should of known that paying $35 for a small thing of face wash and taking trips to the dermatologist wouldn't make any sense for me.  I'm a low maintenance kinda gal, and that means my skin isn't any different. :)

Virginia is for Lovers

Call me biased because I was born and raised here, but I am convinced Richmond is one of the best cities ever.  Why do I say that?  There aren't a lot of places that you can have a mid-sized city that feels small town that's only 2 hours away from the beach, 2 hours away from a big city, and less than 2 hours away from the mountains & wineries.  I just love it.

I've noticed Richmond has been getting a lot of press lately.  Our motto is "Virginia is for Lovers" and you can find LOVE signs all over the state, including ones like this downtown:

Richmond was recently named One of Twenty of The Most Romantic Cities in the World:

Yup, this commercial was created by The Martin Agency, which happens to be smack dab in the middle of downtown Richmond.  It's a huge, very reputable marketing agency and before I knew what exactly I wanted to do I considered applying for a summer internship there.  I received the email with the paper application and after realizing it was about 15 pages long and wanted SUPER creative ideas and answers, I decided this was not the right path for me.

So, as you can see, Richmond and Virginia are wonderful places, and if you haven't visited yet....you should. :)
