WOOOOOAH WE'RE HALFWAY THERE

WOOOOOOOAHHH LIVIN' ON A PRAYER.

Sorry...I'm having a Bon Jovi moment and I'm just so overly excited for many things.  First of all, I'm halfway through this pregnancy.  Secondly,  tomorrow I have my 20 week anatomy scan ultrasound where they take a close look at all organs, spinal cord, etc.  Ryan isn't coming so my mom gets to be there to get a look at her granddaughter.  Thirdly, we leave for Disney on SUNDAY for the week and I just can't wait.  We've never been on a family vacation with Ryan's family and really looking forward to the experiences and having a whole week with them since we only see them a few times a year.  

Also, it doesn't hurt to have a week off of work when I haven't had a week off since March last year.  Much needed!  Ryan won't admit it, but he needs it too. 

What else?  I found maternity shorts on the Target clearance rack for $7!  I was stressing over what to wear since most of my maternity clothes are winter and it will not be cold in Florida.

How far along? 20 Weeks 
Maternity clothes? Can I stop answering this now? Stretch marks? Yup...this time on my butt.  At least I think that's what it is.  Pregnancy does weird things to me, apparently.  Battle scars! Sleep: Sleeping great, still.  Wake up maybe once to pee. Best moment this week? Making it halfway through and being so blessed so far.  As many things that can happen...so far, I've been healthy, she's been healthy, and I've had no severe symptoms.Miss anything? Wine.  I really miss wine for some reason.  Probably because I just came off of month end at work and it's always a super stressful time.   Movement? Every day!  I've gone from feeling her in a concentrated right area of my belly below my belly button to recently ALLLL over.  Top left belly, lower right, upper right...and she's still tickling the hell out of me. Food Cravings? Sweets.  Very into anything sweet this week. Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope. Amen.Have you started to show yet? Belly is there!  Not convinced she can grow for another 20 weeks and still fit in there. Labor signs? NoooopeBelly button in or out? In...barely.Wedding rings on or off? I wear my fakey loud and proud.Happy or moody most of the time? Happy :) Looking forward to? Baby's first trip to Disney, and finally buckling down and buying some nursery furniture, etc. 

19 Weeks

How far along? 19 Weeks
Maternity clothes? All the way.  I definitely feel best in shirts that are tight under the boobs but loose around the belly.  Ryan surprised me on Sunday after coming back from Maryland with a clean house and a maternity dress and maternity winter jacket. That man continues to show his love and I'm so thankful for him. 
Stretch marks? Nothing new...the size of my boobs on the other hand...out. of. control. :( 
Sleep: Sleeping great, with a couple of nights where crazy ass dreams wake me up.  Still peeing once or twice at night.
Best moment this week? Feeling her move every single day.  It will never get old.  I feel her the most after a meal and if I'm laying down.  It TICKLES so bad! 
Miss anything? My chest being a more manageable size.  
Movement? Every day! :) 
Food Cravings? I'm disappointed to say no.  Maybe at some point I'll have that midnight craving where Ryan has to drive out to the store to get me something?
Anything making you queasy or sick? Because I've had such a great pregnancy so far with no sickness or major issues, does this mean I'm going to have a horrible labor & delivery? Please tell me it's possible to have a great pregnancy and great labor? 
Have you started to show yet? Had my first stranger ask me when I was due and if I knew the sex!  It was a guy, too!  
Labor signs? Noooope
Belly button in or out? In, although it may hit it's breaking point pretty soon.  Hopefully not! 
Wedding rings on or off? On, but I caved and bought a fake ring to wear. :(  I haven't had a lot of swelling, but my wedding rings just WON'T fit around my knuckle!  Is it possible for joints to get bigger, too?? 
Happy or moody most of the time? Happy :) 
Looking forward to? Going to BuyBuyBaby this weekend with Ryan to test out strollers, look at cribs, etc. I've (there is no we in nursery decorating...Ryan told me he does not care one bit except he doesn't want to paint walls) decided on a travel nursery theme.  We'll be doing pinks, gold glitter, & cream with bits of travel things throughout.  I have a vision and I'm pumped to see how it will turn out.  I have to keep telling myself "do not go crazy with the nursery, do not go crazy with the nursery"

I bought a few things on sale the other day for the nursery and put pictures below so you can get an idea of where I'm going with it.   The office downstairs where we keep the dogs has turned into the baby storage room...full of diapers & wipes from my mom, outfits from friends/family, hand me down clothes from a friend and a swing.  This baby girl is taking over the house already and we're not even halfway there!

I'm surprised I like something so girly, but I think I go back to when I was a little girl and how I LOVED everything shiny/sparkly/sequiny.

We have our 20 week anatomy scan on Tuesday, and since Ryan isn't coming, my mom will be there to see baby girl.  I'm so excited to see her again and really hoping the scan shows she's growing like she should!

17 & 18 Weeks

17 Weeks

How far along? 17 Weeks
Maternity clothes? I mostly wear my maternity black slacks to work and a loose fitting shirt.  Weekends consist of yoga pants or maternity jeans. Stretch marks? Just the ones on my boob so far. Sleep: Sleeping great, minus waking up to pee once or twice a night.Best moment this week? Finding out the SEX!  We had a doctor's appointment on 9/9 and the doc was nice enough to pop us into the ultrasound room, just to confirm the gender.  It took MAYBE 1 minute to get a good view of the goods, and there is no doubt that we are having a baby GIRL!!!!!  I put a picture below to show the V (legs) and that there is definitely nothing in between.Miss anything? Being able to walk a lot without my feet hurting.Movement? Nothing this week...haven't had that feeling like I did the week before :( Food Cravings? Cravings and aversions have calmed down quite a bit.  Nothing too crazy - just a lot of milk/cereal/OJ.Anything making you queasy or sick? Not. a. thing.Have you started to show yet? Definite bump but still probably just look abnormal to strangers.  Gender prediction? It's a girl!! no predicting about it :) Labor signs? NoBelly button in or out? InWedding rings on or off? OnHappy or moody most of the time? Happy, except when I'm hungry.  Then it's just pure HANGRY.Looking forward to? Figuring out the nursery & deciding on what to register for & what to buy, etc. Also deciding on a name!

18 Weeks

How far along? 18 weeks
Maternity clothes? Duh.  My friend Ashley brought me a ton of her maternity clothes to wear and I'm so thankful for it!  So many shirts and now I feel like I don't have to wear the same things everyday to work.Stretch marks? Nothing more here.Sleep: Sleeping great, minus waking up to pee once or twice a night.Best moment this week? Feeling baby girl move around like crazy in my belly!  All of tonight I have felt a tickling/spastic/bubbly feeling in my belly.  It's so amazing and makes me feel like I'm actually having a baby and not just growing an alien. :) Miss anything? I went to New Orleans for a long weekend for a friend's bachelorette and that is a drinking TOWN.  At night, I missed drinking and acting stupid with good friends.  The next morning, I was so happy I felt just fine and my biggest issues were the pains in my feet. :) Movement? Yes! Seems like she looooooves tickling my belly today.Food Cravings? Nothing crazy except just lots of milk.  Anything making you queasy or sick? Not. a. thing.Have you started to show yet? Definite little bump. 
Labor signs? NoBelly button in or out? InWedding rings on or off? On, but I will need to find a dummy set soon.  I could barely get them off after New Orleans (I'm sure the flight, walking, eating, had a lot to do with my fingers swelling)Happy or moody most of the time? Happy!  Looking forward to? Finalizing the name choice.  Ryan and I have a favorite, but I want to think about it for a little while longer before deciding for sure.  Ryan is ready to call it official, but I just don't want to see another name come up later and think, "dammit, we should of gone with that"

The Progression of Baby Hibbs

Since I started blogging about this pregnancy after we announced to the world, I figured I'll post my older belly pics here as well as some pics from our ultrasounds.  This way, I'll be able to look back at this time and say "Remember When".

Little bean at just 7 weeks.  Crazy how tiny it was.  This was our dating ultrasound to ensure it was a healthy pregnancy and to figure out a due date.  That is when the doctor gave us a due date of February 15th.  The best part of this ultrasound?  Getting to hear that little beans heart beat...170 bpm then!  Crazy to think THAT thing in my belly has a HEARTBEAT.  This ultrasound still didn't really even make it feel real.

10 Weeks.  We had this ultrasound just because my doctor is awesome and said that because we're first time parents, we would do another ultrasound to see it actually begins to look like a baby.  He was right! Look at baby Hibbs waving hi!  We got to hear the heart beat again!

13 Week anatomy scan.  I just love this first picture....does it not look like baby Hibbs is smiling at us? It was a little wiggle worm this time and did not want to sit still.  I just love it and probably look at the ultrasound pictures almost once a day....it may or may not be because I have the picture as my lock screen on my iPhone ;)

16 Weeks

Excuse the horrible photo...It's a lazy day (Labor Day) and did not realize how pathetic I looked until after Ryan took the picture :O

How far along? 16 Weeks
Maternity clothes? Yup, still mostly just maternity pants or the belly band.  I'm wearing regular shirts and dresses.  
Stretch marks? Nothing more than what I already have on my chest.  I lather myself down in stretch mark oil & lotion at night...take that stretch marks. 
Sleep: Sleeping great still, although I had a few crazy dreams last night where I woke up thinking "What the..."
Best moment this week? Ryan looking at me while walking the dogs and saying "you're really starting to get a belly.  Does this make you happy?".  To the outside world, I'm still just fat.  However, to us, there's something there! 
Miss anything? Not being able to ride any roller coasters and just double checking about anything that could be harmful.  I went to Kings Dominion with my mom yesterday and we got pretty crazy...Merry Go Round, Driving old time cars, you know...
Movement? Nada thing.  I think I've figured out digestion/gas movement and definitely not feeling the baby.  Is baby Hibbs really in there? 
Food Cravings? They've calmed down a bit.  There are some things that still sound absolutely disguesting to me, but I can eat meat again :) 
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope..thank God I haven't been sick once!  
Have you started to show yet? Not really.  Ready for this belly to pop and stop just looking so fat! 
Gender prediction? Girl? Boy? Has to be one or the other, right? 
Labor signs? No
Belly button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On...although my fingers have been swelling and my ring gets tight some days.

Looking forward to? This belly popping, and finding out the sex in almost one week!!!
