BEFORE Picture

This whole week I have been working on and off with staining our master bathroom cabinets.  Our whole master bathroom has a big 90's vibe and my plan is to slowly but surely get the space back to our decade.

According to the Pinterest link (where I found the inspiration), it should only be a 3 or 4 day process.  I, however, am busy as well as distracted, which has turned this into a much larger project.

Here's a before shot:

Already started prepping.  Ain't nobody got time for taking full Before pics. :)

Blah, blah and BLEH!  I/m guessing the previous owners had a dog living in the bathroom that did nothing but continuously scratch at the doors? No?

I have touch ups and 2 coats of Poly that I need to put on the cabinet doors, then it will be DONE and I will feel so much better about our bathroom...kind of.

After the staining is complete, I will only have the entire bathroom to paint, update the light fixture, and jazz up the mirror and voila!  Like new!

I'll be taking a break from some of these items on my To Do list soon though because we'll be flying to Ft Lauderdale for our CRUISE in 7 DAYS! Can't wait!

Painting it Up

I finally got around to painting my "office" on Sunday.  I say "office" because I've rarely worked from home in there, but there's at least a desk and a printer which makes it as much as an office as it will probably ever be.  More babies have spent time in that room than I have, and I'm okay with that.

The paint before wasn't terrible, but there's something about the blue and brown stripes I couldn't deal with any longer.

I went to Hobby Lobby (my new fav store...seriously can't get enough of it) and picked out some fabric I like.  It took me probably almost an hour to finally decide on something I was content with.  I picked up some good old $6 cheapo frames that were on sale for 50% off and headed on over to Lowe's to pick out the paint color.

To accurately paint the picture (DO YOU GET IT? :) ):

I walk into Lowe's and find the paint section.  The Valspar paint color section looked the biggest and brightest so I went straight there and found the first aqua color I thought was pretty and would match well with my fabric inspiration.  I moseyed on over to the counter, told the guy I needed a gallon in whatever paint + primer he liked the best, and peaced outta that joint.

Things like this make me realize I'm not the typical female shopper.

My goal was to have a bright and cheery office space.  It isn't done yet, hence the empty picture frames, but here's an idea of what the room looks like now:

The best part about this project is that I only got paint on the ceiling 3 different times, and only spilled on the carpet once!  I call that a win!

On another note, here's a pic of a funny prank a coworker thought up today:

Hold up...those aren't the awards I saw up on his desk yesterday...HAHA!

My next house project I want to tackle is to stain the master bathroom counters because the honey oak is starting to drive me crazy!  All I have to go off of are some directions from something I found on Pinterest, so wish me luck!

Norah Mae

Last weekend, one of my best friends Ashley & her daughter Norah came for a girls weekend.  Ashley, Paige & I lived together in college and after college, so we became very close and I'm so glad we continuously stay in touch and have always been there for each other.

Poor Ryan got kicked into the room upstairs but was nice enough to bring us a bottle of wine and some Munchies before retreating.

Norah is the just the sweetest, happiest baby girl and we had fun just laying low and loving on her.  A few pics:

5 months old!

There's a little sweet baby smile

She loves laughing with her mama!

Roxie wants to eat her, apparently.

Love this mini Robbie!

I don't know why, but we didn't get a picture of all of the girls!  We're in the process of trying to plan a girls trip for either June or September, so hopefully we'll some then.

I'm painting one of the bedrooms tomorrow so wish me luck!  I've only done this once before, so clearly I know what I'm doing and will have it done in no time! :)
